How Waltr A works?
Waltr A uses an ultrasonic time of flight sensor to detect even a 1cm change in the water level. The sensor fits to the inside roof of the water tank and transmits high frequency ultrasonic sound waves that get reflected by the water surface and are again received by the sensor. The device then calculates the time it took for the sound wave to travel to the water surface and back. Using the speed of sound, it converts this time into a distance measurement, allowing it to accurately detect the water level.
Once the device detects the water level, it then sends this information to cloud servers once every 2 minutes via Wi-Fi ensuring that user’s get a near real-time view of the water level on their Waltr app.
Along with the real-time water level information, Waltr A also keeps track of the water level history of the tank. Users can view this history for each day and understand their usage patterns.
