How Waltr C (automatic water pump controller) Works?
Waltr C operates as a cloud-connected, automatic pump controller that utilizes real-time tank level data from Waltr A, a radar-based water level sensor. When the water level in the tank falls below a predefined low threshold, Waltr A detects the change and transmits the data to the cloud server. Waltr C continuously polls this data and, upon identifying the low-level condition, issues a control signal to initiate pump operation.
Once the tank reaches the configured high-level threshold, Waltr A updates the water level accordingly. Waltr C receives this update and issues a stop command, terminating the pump operation. This automation logic eliminates the need for manual intervention and ensures efficient water resource management by running the pump only when required.
In addition to automated operation, manual control is available through the Waltr mobile application, enabling users to override or manually trigger motor control remotely as needed.
Pump Control Logic via NO Relays
Waltr C interfaces with the pump starter panel through two Normally Open (NO) relays, designed for low-voltage signal switching. These terminals are electrically isolated from the high-voltage motor circuit, enhancing system safety and simplifying integration.
When a low-level condition is detected, Waltr C activates the NO terminals, closing the relay circuit. This completes the control loop to the starter panel, initiating motor start-up.
Upon reaching the high-level threshold, Waltr C deactivates the NO terminals, opening the relay circuit and signaling the motor to shut down.
This relay-based control strategy ensures that motor switching is performed without direct contact with high-voltage lines, enabling safe, reliable, and energy-efficient pump automation.
